The Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FAMP) was formed March 16, 1985, as a result of the Local Entities of Andalusia exercising their right of association recognized in the Regulatory Law of the Bases of Local Regime and in the European Charter of Local Autonomy.

FAMP is a federation of Andalusian Local Entities, including municipalities, provinces and associations, that voluntarily decide, aimed towards the protection and promotion of local autonomies, the safeguarding of the cultural and socioeconomic development, as well as of the values ​​of Andalusia as an Autonomous Community.

FAMP has a public legal personality and full capacity to act, with no other limitations other than those established in the current legal regulations.

The territorial scope of the FAMP is Andalusia, and it has its headquarters in the city of Seville.
